New Orleans sees its fair share of rainy weather—but that doesn’t slow us down. This city was made for rolling with the punches. I’m giving you my Top 5 Rainy Day Destinations, but honestly? I could easily make a list of 25.

This thrilling new attraction takes you on a multimedia, multi-story exploration of New Orleans history and culture—topped off (literally) with a sky deck that offers an unbeatable view of the city.
Even in the rain, it’s stunning from up high.

Two of the most essential—and underrated—museums in the city.
At the Cabildo, check out artifacts like Napoleon’s death mask and historic weaponry.
At the Presbytère, the ground floor walks you through the story of Hurricane Katrina, while the top floor celebrates the magic of Mardi Gras.
These two museums should be required stops for all guests!

Without question, one of the most powerful museums in the country. The National WWII Museum is on par with the Smithsonian in both scale and impact. It's an epic journey through some of the most defining events in modern history.
💡 Pro tip: Block out two days—you’ll want at least 4 hours per visit to absorb it all.

Located just outside the French Quarter, with plenty of nearby parking, JAMNOLA calls itself a pop-up art exhibit—but I call it a JOY FACTORY.
This immersive, locally created experience blends art, music, history, and humor in a way that truly captures the spirit of New Orleans. It’s fun, thoughtful, family-friendly, and oh-so-photogenic. A must-do.
